  1. However, this guys solution is long term. How long before the corrupt run out of money? How long before a culture change of helping themselves? Should we just ignore Darfur (perhaps a bad example since apparently we are) because those 100,000s dying is necessary for the future of the region?

However long it takes, however many people it takes.

That is exactly what he is saying.

If you perpetuate the ruling class by funding their corruption, then you perpetuate their advantage over the poor, and leave the poor oppressed.

Western society revolutions have always come out of desperation and innovation.

  2. Aye.

    My wife watched this episode.

I heard her going on... I told the wife:

"If one of our kids start that kinda shit, I'm going to jail. Cause I'm gonna punch my daughter dead in the mouth."

    :/

Sadly... I think I actually would. Hopefully a few less teeth would improve her attitude.

  3. I took the "Native American" test.

Apparently, I associate white people with foreign.

    :p

"Little to no" automatic preference on the "Racism" test, which only involves Black and White people.

    Meh.

These tests are BS. I hate white people.

    Er......

Ok, maybe not. But these tests are BS.

  4. Constantine

    So I'm not alone.

That movie bombed so bad... but I so thoroughly enjoy it.

Though, Gavin Rossdale should give up acting, and give me a new non-industrial disc. 16 Stone is one of my all time favorite albums.

    When putting out:

    The Usual Suspects

    Reservoir Dogs

    A logical following could include:

Boondock Saints - Impeccable performance by William Dafoe

  5. One of my favorite books spawned 2 movie versions, both with outstanding cast members:

    Of Mice and Men

1939 - Starring Burgess Meredith and Lon Chaney

1992 - Starring Gary Sinise and John Malkovich (and Ray Walston's performance as Candy didn't hurt, either)

Note: That is theatrical release... there have of course been various TV versions.

  6. I don't know why I opened this thread... the click me... it was frightening... and yet intriguing... much like sex with an octogenarian.

    ER.............
