MoviePass is bringing back a version of the plan that made it so popular in the first place — a subscription where you pay a monthly fee and get an unlimited number of 2D movie tickets.
MoviePass Uncapped will have a regular price of $19.95 per month, but the company is offering cheaper deals for what it says is a limited time. If you’re willing to pay for a full year (via ACH payment), it will cost the same as that original unlimited plan, namely $9.95 per month. If you don’t want to make a full-year commitment, it will cost $14.95 per month.
Now, you may be thinking that this kind of deal is exactly what got MoviePass into so much trouble last year, to the point where it nearly ran out of money and began announcing new pricing plans and restrictions on a seemingly constant basis.
However, the company’s announcement today includes multiple references to its ability to “combat violations” of MoviePass’ terms of use. And those terms do say that “MoviePass has the right to limit the selection of movies and/or the times of available movies should your individual use adversely impact MoviePass’s system-wide capacity or the availability of the Service for other subscribers.”
So if you’re a heavy MoviePass user, the plan may not be truly unlimited.
In addition, you’ll only be able to reserve tickets three hours before showtime, and you’ll need to check in to the theater between 10 and 30 minutes before the movie starts.
This new plan replaces the ones announced in December. If you’ve already signed up, you can stick to those subscriptions, but new users won’t have that option.
In a statement, Ted Farnsworth, CEO of MoviePass parent company Helios and Matheson Analytics, said:

Google is holding a press event at the Game Developers Conference today in San Francisco. The conference starts at 10 AM Pacific Time, 1 PM Eastern Time, 5 PM in London and 6 PM in Paris.

While many game companies rely on Google Cloud Platform for their server and infrastructure needs, today’s conference is going to be different.
The company has been working on something called Project Stream for more than six months. In its initial technical test, the company let you play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in your Chrome web browser. The game would run on a server in a data center near you, and you’d see the video stream in your browser and interact with your character from your computer.
And it sounds like Google is ready to launch its cloud gaming service for real. So let’s see how Google plans to sell this service and the initial game lineup.

Warren Buffett's annual March Madness bracket challenge is back, and this year he's only looking for a perfect Sweet 16. For example, the winning bracket would have to include 32 perfect selections for Round 1, as well as the 16 picks for Round 2.
If successful, Buffett will pay the winner $1 million a year, for life. The catch is, to be eligible you have to be one of the estimated 400,000 people who work for Berkshire Hathaway.
Buffett, who is worth an estimated $83.5 billion according to Forbes, has previously offered a sum of $1 billion to anyone who could pick the perfect NCAA bracket. Worth noting, the odds of accomplishing such a feat are 1 in 9.2 quintillion. Needless to say, it has never been done.
According to Forbes, exactly zero of the 17.3 million brackets on ESPN were perfect last year, thanks in large part to the first ever 16-seed (UMBC) defeating a 1-seed (Virginia).
The first play-in games of the 2019 NCAA Tournament will kick off tonight, starting with 16-seeds Fairleigh Dickinson vs Prairie View A&M at 6:40pm ET, followed by 11-seeds Temple vs Belmont at 9:10pm ET.

Elle Varner Drops Off "Pour Me" Visuals Featuring Wale
Back in January, Elle Varner, dropped off a new track called "Pour Me" featuring the likes of Wale. It was her musical return after her September release that was "Loving U Blind." Today the music-maker has followed up with an official video to her latest song that sees her and Wale posted up with a yellow snake as a prop.
The lyrics of the song touch on past thoughts of a lover that gets induced when drinking. "Thinking ’bout you all night for sure, pour me one more,” she sings.
The single is set to accompany her upcoming album that has yet to have a name, that will be released this Spring. In the meantime, peep the new visuals and keep it locked for any future releases.
"The beauty is I have plenty more magic where that came from!! If anything the struggles I’ve had over the years brought me to a higher place in my artistry and as a person," she recently wrote on Twitter. "God is so good he reminded me why I do what I do and to keep going. To new beginnings."

Diddy, Jay-Z, & Nas Are Three Icons In Classic Throwback Pic
It's always interesting to reflect on the dynamics between hip-hop legends, be it collaborations, feuds, the works. It's hard to forget that Nas and Jay-Z once put out a string of incredible diss tracks dedicated at tearing the other one down, long before "Black Republicans" came to exist. Of course, Diddy and B.I.G's relationship is well documented, and the Notorious one played a mentorship role in the schooling of young Jay, circa Reasonable Doubt. Not to mention Diddy's production work on American Gangster, and contributions to Nas' "Hate Me Now."
Suffice it to say, the web is lined with uniting strands, with rivals turning allies at any given notice. Given everything that has transpired between Diddy, Jay, and Nas throughout their respective musical journeys, it's awesome to see them stand together, breaking bread like old pals.
Diddy took to Instagram to share a picture of the three moguls slash businessmen, or businesses, if abiding by the Jay-Z school of vernacular. With the caption "And the winner is..." alluding to Jay-Z's previous single "Roc Boys," which Diddy had a hand in producing. Should you be interested in moments such as these, sound off below. Three legends in one picture is always worthy of celebration, is it not?

Migos Set To Perform At Nickelodeon's 2019 Kids Choice Awards
Migos are gearing up to release their forthcoming project, Culture III at some point this year. They've been dishing out a handful of singles over the months as a group. Now, the trio has been announced as performers at the 2019 Nickelodeon's 2019 Kids Choice Awards.
Migos will be touching the stage at the year's Kids Choice Awards to perform a medley of some of their biggest hits to date. Billboard reports that they'll be joined by DJ Mustard who they recently collaborated with on the single, "Pure Water."
Theo Wargo/Getty Images
Along with the performance, the Migos were also nominated for their first Kids Choice Award for the category of favorite music group. They'll be performing in front of an audience consisting of kids, tweens, and teens, as well as their parents.
DJ Khaled announced last month that he'd be hosting the KCA's. "Secure the bag alert. The biggest party of the year is about to go up," he said. "That's right. March 23rd, I'm your host. Father of Asahd, DJ Khaled, Nickolodean, Kids Choice Awards -- I'll see you soon," he added.
Over the past six months or so, the trio has been putting their focus towards their solo endeavors. Quavo kicked things off with Quavo Huncho in October before Takeoff released The Last Rocket in November. Although fans expected Offset to drop in December, he delayed the release of his project which ultimately dropped last month.

Jordan 6 Rings "Taxi" Will Reportedly Drop This Month
When most people think of Jordan sneakers, they think of the ones with numbers attached to them. So far there are 33 of them and they all have their own varying levels of popularity. Typically, the most popular models are 1 through 14, particularly because these are the shoes Michael Jordan actually played in. Jordan Brand has continuously tried to make mashups of some of these models, with the Jordan 6 Rings being one of them. It may not be the most popular Jordan sneaker but it's a pretty ambitious one as it merges elements of all of the shoes Jordan won championships in.
The latest colorway of the Jordan 6 Rings is being dubbed the "Taxi" which makes sense because it looks exactly like a taxi you would find in New York City. Yellow leather is found on the toe box and wraps all the way around the shoe, while black is found on the upper half of the silhouette, including the tongue. Finally, the midsole which is modeled after the Jordan 13, is in all-white.

If you're looking to cop these, they will be available sometime this month, according to Sneaker News. You will be able to find them at Nike.com and select retailers for $165 USD.

Apple’s iCloud is having an outage, too
Facebook has only just recovered from one of its worst outages to date, and Gmail and Google Drive also experienced a worldwide outage this week. Now, apparently, it’s Apple’s turn. According to the company’s System Status dashboard, a number of iCloud services are experiencing issues, including iCloud Drive, Mail, Calendar, Notes, Keychain, Reminders, iWork, Photos, News and others.
According the System Status page, the issues began today at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT.
The page doesn’t offer much in terms of detail as to why the services are experiencing problems, only saying that “some users are affected” and “users may be unable to access this service.”

The iCloud issues arrive on the heels of Facebook’s massive outage which impacted its 2.3 billion users across its properties – including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger – for over 24 hours. The social networking company chalked up the problem to a “server configuration change,” not a DDoS attack as some had been speculating.
That hasn’t stopped people from continuing to believe the series of outages seen this week are related. But it’s simply too soon to draw any conclusions. There’s not enough being provided by the companies themselves to fully understand the nature of what’s happened at this point, nor what’s causing the issues with iCloud.
Fair to say, it has been a bad week for the internet. (Did anyone try turning it off and back on again?)
Apple historically gets its outages under control in a fairly timely fashion. We’ll have to wait to see if it’s able to do so today, or if the issues worsen or improve.
Apple declined to comment.

Joe Moses and RJMrLa have proven their chemistry on wax together on numerous occasions. The West Coast rappers have been steadily dishing out music over the years and now, they've teamed up for their new collaboration, "Stop It."
Joe Moses and RJMrLa come through with another banger with their new track, "Stop It." The two rappers link up with DJ Mustard for the song's production. Moses and RJMrLa swap verses back and forth throughout the track and bring that California gangsta rap feeling to the track.
"Stop It" serves as Joe Moses first single of the year. Last year, the rapper dished out his SuWop EP which included the track "Back Goin Brazy" with Future. The rapper also released his Merry Bristmas project on Christmas.
Peep "Stop It" below.

YouTube Music and YouTube Premium come to India
YouTube Music is coming to the next critical battlefield for streaming music services: India. The company announced this week it’s launching its ad-supported version of YouTube Music for free in the country, as well as YouTube Music Premium, its subscription that offers background listening, offline downloads and an ad-free experience for ₹99 a month.
In addition, YouTube Premium, which extends offline play, background listening and the removal of ads across YouTube, is also launching in India. This will include access to YouTube Original programming like Cobra Kai, BTS: Burn The Stage, and others, and ships with the Music Premium subscription for ₹129 rupees per month.
This is not Google’s first entry into the streaming music market in India. The company already operates Google Play Music – and now, those subscribers will gain access to YouTube Music as part of their subscription, the company says.
India is a key market for streaming services because of its sizable population of 1.3 billion people, many of whom are still coming online for the first time. (Only some 483 million are active internet users today).
Already, Apple and Amazon operate their music services in the region, and Spotify has made an India launch a strategic focus this year.
However, Spotify’s entry into India has been complicated by a licensing dispute with Warner Music (WMG’s Warner/Chappell publishing arm, specifically). That conflict led to Spotify arriving in the market without some of today’s biggest artists, like Cardi B. and Ed Sheeran. The case has been ugly: Warner sued Spotify asking for an emergency injunction; Spotify then accused Warner of “abusive behavior;” and Warner called Spotify a “liar.”
Despite its legal troubles, Spotify hit 1 million users in India within a week of launching. That bodes well for its potential when it gets through the legal battles.

Facebook is down and Instagram is struggling
Trying to load Facebook?
You might have to wait for awhile. The social network is down for many people and Instagram, also owned by Facebook, is behaving strangely as well. To complete the trifecta, Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp is also having issues.
A look at Downdetector (which is owned by the same parent company as Mashable) shows complaints ramping up about a Facebook outage around 9 a.m. PT on Wednesday. Instagram followed suit shortly thereafter.

Facebook is having issues globally.

Kehlani Says She's Expecting Her Daughter "Any Day Now"
Kehlani announced her pregnancy back in October when she was already a few months along, looking like a glowing mother to be. Since then we've received updates on her growing pregnancy and the mom-to-be even released a mixtape and visuals that showed off her gorgeous pregnant frame.
For some reason, it feels like the "Honey" singer has been pregnant for quite a long time and she seemingly feels the same way. Kehlani uploaded an image to Instagram showing off her pregnant belly with a caption explaining how pregnancy has a lot of learning moments.
"Y’all prolly tired of me being extra pregnant on here but... pregnancy IS roughly 10 months. 10 months of growing. 10 months of unlearning and learning simultaneously. 10 months of impressing yourself through good and bad. 10 months of falling in love with someone you’ve never met," she wrote. "I am at the finish line and as hard as it is... i am so proud, and so in love. any day now. thank you body for being such a gaaawtdamn trooper."
Kehlani was previously asked what advice she wants to give her daughter and her answer was this:
"Listen to her heart. Be gentle with herself because she is going to make mistakes. Be fearless, but even if she does get completely engulfed in fear at times, it does not in any way make her weak. She will grow up knowing compassion is a gift. I will remind her that she is whatever she wants to be, and that sometimes that changes. I have a feeling she will be giving me a lot of advice when she is 23. She will be better than me in any and every aspect. I can’t wait to learn from her."

This Instagram account of brutally honest book titles will make you feel so seen
An Ode to... is a weekly column where we share the stuff we're really into in hopes that you'll be really into it, too.
As a girl who spends around six hours a day commuting to and from work, when I first learned about the novel, The Girl on the Train, I thought, "Excuse me? Paula Hawkins used my future memoir title."
After explaining to my friend how disappointed I was that The Girl on the Train was taken, we started a running bit in which we would jokingly come up with other potential memoir titles extremely specific to me, that I could use should I ever decided to write a book about the bizarre and embarrassing happenings in my life.  Read more...

2019 Hip-Hop Album Releases: The Essential Guide
Last year was one of the biggest in recent memory, with releases from what felt like ninety percent of the game. That may be an exaggeration, but it’s not entirely far from the truth. Drops from Drake, Pusha T, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Eminem, Royce Da 5’9,” Migos, Takeoff, Quavo, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, J.I.D, EarthGang, Future, Mac Miller, Denzel Curry, Nas, Dave East, Flatbush Zombies, A$AP Rocky, Post Malone, Cozz, Bas, Travis Scott and many more helped pad a stacked release calendar, fuelling a spirited album-of-the-year debate to match.
Given that artists, despite our best intentions, are not coin-operated music makers, albums generally arrive on a bi-yearly basis. Exceptions do exist, especially for those of a fiendish work ethic, or a renewed sense of hunger. Still, given the fact that we as hip-hop fans were indeed “eatin’” last year, one has to wonder if 2019 will bring forth the same fruitful harvest.
While we’re about two and a quarter months deep at the time of this writing, the release schedule has been relatively light. The quality has been there, with solid drops from Future, Offset, Boogie, Solange, Juice WRLD, 2 Chainz, DaBaby and more, but the frequency of A-list arrivals has admittedly slowed. Perhaps this is simply the calm before the storm. After all, it’s been a minute since we’ve seen TDE unleash their roster. Plus, Dreamville is positioned for a massive year, with Revenge Of The Dreamers 3, EarthGang’s “MirrorLand,” and Cole’s own KOD followup. Culture III is still out there, as is Kanye West's fabled Yandhi. It’s only a matter of time before the release dates start pouring in.
For now, familiarize yourself with some of the concrete arrivals, officially due out in March, April, and beyond.

Beast Coast Lives On "Left Hand," With Joey Bada$$, Flatbush Zombies & More
Beast Coast has arrived with no full moon in sight. After teasing a long-awaited album, the collective has finally come through with their insane single "Left Hand." Taking to an up-tempo, eerie instrumental, the combined forces of Joey Bada$$, Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, Erick Arc Elliott, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, CJ Fly, AK and Issa Gold join to deliver one of the year's craziest posses cuts thus far. Immediately head-nod-inducing, Meechy sets it off with a hyper-energetic chorus, his trademark snarl setting tone of primal energy. From that point on, the collective proceeds to trade verses, fuelled by a welcome sense of friendly competition.

If that weren't enough, Meechy recently confirmed that a full-length album is officially en route, with "Left Hand" marking an early sign of things to come. "BEAST COAST ALBUM ON THE WAY JU HEARDDDDD," he writes, stoking hype via Twitter. The track also happens to mark a return for the long-dormant Joey Bada$$, who once again issues a reminder of his slept-on talents. Check out the Tyler Dopps & Sam Wish-produced track now, and look for more news on that Beast Coast project in the near future.

PartyNextDoor Previews Collaboration With Rihanna
We've been waiting for new music from Rihanna for so long now and although we're certain she'll be dropping it off sooner than later, we can't help but wish it was yesterday. While we wait for an official arrival of new music from the Barbadian Princess, PartyNextDoor has alleviated the wait by dropping off a teaser video that's seemingly a Rihanna collaboration.
Brendon Thorne/Getty Images
The video below sees Party vibing out to an unreleased song that sounds like it has the likes of Rihanna on the track. The track is by no means a dance track - like Party's previous song he wrote for Rihanna "Work" - but more of smooth banger that begs to be replayed.
At the top of the month, it was reported that Rihanna's album was completed, which means this new song may be from an upcoming tape of Party's since his last release was 2017's Seven Days EP.
“[Rihanna’s team] have, no lie, 500 records for this project [from] different producers and writers,” an anonymous dancehall producer said. “They’re only choosing 10 records. They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now. I’ve been flying to Miami, flying to L.A., cutting records nonstop for this project"
They added: "Every artist, every producer, every songwriter in Jamaica or of Jamaican descent has been working on [Rihanna’s album] and has little snippets of publishing or production credits on it."
