I was busy finishing up an assignment yesterday and forgot to open this thread  I saw the Changeling last night - it's the new Clint Eastwood movie with Angelina Jolie - I predict it will be nominated for a lot of Oscars, and may take the prize. Check it out.

How about you guys?

PS - It's nice to see Matt Rendo back - you can reply to his post below, which can be found in the Paul Newman thread HERE

Fires hit Southern California again!!! You can smell the smoke when you step outside and I live miles away from the fires

Next month it will be mudslides. Next week maybe an earthquake.

...I think I'll stay here and dodge the tornados, hurricanes and hail storms.

As for this weekend, I watched my Boise State Broncos football team win yet again!

I figure I will spend the remainder of my weekend reacquainting myself with Beatking.

They're one of the three remaining unbeaten teams - sadly, my team lost last weekend to Iowa

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
