The Cure have announced plans to release a new record this year, following 2008's 4:13 Dream and their Bestival Live 2011 live album. It's tentatively titled 4:14 Scream. According to a press release, it was recorded at the same time as 4:13 Dream.

Along with the studio album, the Cure will also release a string of live concert DVDs and tour the world this year. As in 2002 and 2011, they're planning a "Trilogy" show, in which they perform three records in full. This one will feature The TopThe Head on the Door, and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me.

The Cure will perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London on March 28 and 29, part of the Teenage Cancer Trust benefit shows.
