A$AP Rocky Show Canceled Due to Assault Charge

Last week, A$AP Rocky was charged with assault for allegedly slapping a female fan in the face during his performance at Jay-Z's Made in America festival in Philadelphia. Now, TMZ reports that Toronto's York University has pulled Rocky from the line-up of its upcoming YorkFest due to the incident.

"The York Federation of Students Board of Directors learned of allegations of an assault against a woman that are currently before a U.S. court," the school's Federation of Students wrote in a statement, saying they "decided that this event cannot proceed until this matter is resolved." They added that their decision does not suggest "that the YFS has any knowledge of the incident, or has a view on the innocence or guilt of the artist."

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
