Daft Punk Will Perform "Get Lucky" With Stephen Colbert Tonight, Apparently

It was recently announced that Daft Punk would be involved in tonight's episode of "The Colbert Report" as part of Colbert's "Colbchella" series, but we didn't know exactly what they'd do. Now, as Consequence of Sound points outthe show's website says that tonight, "The electronic music duo Daft Punk helps Stephen perform the song of the summer at this year's Colbchella."

We presume "the song of the summer" means "Get Lucky", since Colbert recently showed up on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" dancing to it, and has been taping guests dancing to it. Nile Rodgers is also in New York right now, as CoS points out.

Watch Colbert dancing to "Get Lucky" on "Fallon" below, and read our recent Cover Story on Daft Punk here.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
