Catchy

Recommended Posts

Like a melody from my youth
Can't get her out of my mind
Maybe an old Bee Gees song
So glad to know she's mine

Like a net for a trapeze artist
She catches me when I fall
Like a snare for a tightrope walker
She never lets me hit the wall

She's Catchy
She holds me in her grip
Like a baseball
In a center fielder's glove

She's Catchy
Like a butterfly net
Snagging a monarch
It's so good to be in love

She hooks me like I'm a fish
Reels me in, got me on her line
She doesn't need too much bait
Captures my heart every time

And when we snuggle in our bed
She wraps her arms around me tight
Whispers words from old love songs
Clutches me deep in the night

She's Catchy
She holds me in her grip
Like a baseball
In a center fielder's glove
She's Catchy
Like a butterfly net
Snagging a monarch
It's so good to be in love

Like Wonder Woman with her lasso
She ropes me in and won't let go

Solo

She's Catchy
She holds me in her grip
Like a baseball
In a center fielder's glove
She's Catchy
Like a butterfly net
Snagging a monarch
It's so good to be in love

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
