Kim Gordon's Body/Head, Majical Cloudz, More to Play Pitchfork Shows at Brooklyn's Northside Festival

This year's Northside Festival runs June 13-20 in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Pitchfork has curated two shows during the fest, both taking place at Saint Vitus Bar in Greenpoint.

On Thursday, June 13, Kim Gordon's noise guitar duo with Bill Nace, Body/Head, will headline a show that also features Majical Cloudz, Foreplay, and very special guests. Tickets are available here.

The second show will take place the following night, Friday, June 14, with artists to be announced in the coming weeks.

Body/Head has released two limited-edition recordings since last year-- a self-titled 12" via Nace's Open Mouth label, and a 7" via Belgian label Ultra Eczema. The new Majical Cloudz LP, Impersonator, is out this week on Matador. Foreplay, the noise duo of Jane Chardiet and Chris Hansell (formerly of The Men), released a debut cassette this year via Ascetic House.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
