Listen/Watch: The Lonely Island and Solange: "Semicolons"

For her contribution to the Lonely Island's latest rap comedy album, Solange sings the vocal hook on a song called "Semicolons". It's about-- you guessed it-- semicolons, explained in a way that will sound familiar if you're at all familiar with the idea of hashtag rap. Example: "I'm loud and I'm zipping around / Jet-ski / Your dick is lil' like Wayne/ Gretzky". Andy Samberg's fellow former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Maya Rudolph guests on the track as well.

"Semicolons" will appear on The Wack Album, out on June 11 through Republic.

Watch the lyric video for the song as part of the long album rollout process of "Wack Wednesdays":

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
