Meteoric Rise

I was doing okay
Making a living, had a couple ladies
I was satisfied with a mediocre life
Had a decent job with an average salary

The day I met you
That all changed, it changed overnight
You won't stand for mediocrity
Whipped me into shape, made me do right

My family can't believe my
METEORIC RISE
They all say
They're sure surprised

My friends are all jealous
Of my newfound success
They don't understand my
METEORIC RISE

Since I met you, I'm the CEO
Got money in the bank, a retirement plan
I needed you to drive me on
These days, I'm a one woman man

Reaching my potential
Our love keeps getting better
Doesn't seem to be an end in sight
Better and better and better!

My family can't believe my
METEORIC RISE
They all say
They're sure surprised

My friends are all jealous
Of my newfound success
They don't understand my
METEORIC RISE

Baby, I love you
Baby, I need you
Baby, I'm nothing
Without you!

Chorus

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
