Sampling and creating music?

I'm not sure what kind of software I'm looking for. I've never even tried anything like this, but I've been thinking about trying to make some music in the techno genre by sampling some beats and other sounds and then putting them all together to make an original piece. Like I said I have absolutely no experience doing this. Does anyone know a good software program for beginners that would enable me to do this? Maybe a tutorial site also? Any help would be much appreciated.

try Fruity Loops. It's a good and pretty easy program for a beginner. If you want bestter but harder try Reason. Google to find them
