Nearly 60 percent of Arab Muslims in the U.S. are afraid for their families' future, according to a University of Michigan report. Nearly a quarter of the surveyed said a family member had been insulted over their race or religion.

The report said that more than 40 percent of those surveyed would support the imprisonment of Arabs and Muslims without evidence to prosecute them.

Even so, over 40% of the general population would support the detention of Arabs and Muslims without the evidence to prosecute them.

Ok, at first I thought they were referring to Arab Americans supporting this. Now I see they say general population, which means overall polling of "all" Americans.

Still hard to believe though. I didn't know there were so many people in the U.S. willing to take a shit on the U.S. consitution and the idea of due process.

I suppose the numbers could be flawed though. It is only a poll of a limited number of people.

What sampling or morons did they interview???

Well, I watched em when they came to trailer park for a survey and the numbers are about right. 40% were in favor of arresting em and the other 60% were passed out. :psychofun:

look...

in order of a survey to be published, there has to be 1500 hundred random people of all groups (age, colour etc...). If this survey got published without those rules then there is another thing to worry about. Who the fuck allows this to happen?

Either way, it's disturbing

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
