LaDonna Kay will perform my song on the Opry in Nashville sometime this year.

I eat supper every night at the Cracker Barrel
When I step out, I dress in western apparel
An American girl, just like the 4th of July
I Feel So Country I could die

I know every song Shania ever sang
I can't resist that good old country twang
I wave my flag every 4th of July
I Feel So Country I could die

Well, I'm looking for a man who's looking for a girl
Who knows just how she feels
Looking for a man who's looking for a girl
Who's looking for something real

I grew up on a farm, I learned how to hoe and plow
Come on, city boy, I'll show you how
When I love a man, I never say goodbye
I Feel So Country I could die
Oh yeah

Well, I'm looking for a man who's looking for a girl
Who knows just how she feels
Looking for a man who's looking for a girl
Who's looking for something real

I grew up on a farm, I learned how to hoe and plow
Come on, city boy, I'll show you how
When I love a man, I never say goodbye
I Feel So Country I could die
I said I Feel So Country I could die

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
