This is relativiely old, though I thought i'd inform you for the following reasons...

A. Improvements to the website have made it, so in the download section, there is an actual link to the client!! (Woohoo!).

B. They're gearing up for the release of 2.0, and are "active" so to speak, dispite the many claims that development had "stopped".

xMule v1.7.4c has been released on March 3, 2004.

As we are gearing up toward xMule v2.0 which will be a major release by all definitions, we have decided to make yet another bug-fix release. This small-yet-important release hopefully fixes the rest of the issues people reported with the searching and compiling. We would like to thank everyone who submitted either bug reports or provided patches to the code. There couldn't be a better time for you guys to give us some feedback and tell us what you think should be added to the next Major xMule version. You can do this by submitting feature requests, which we will check and will try to answer as fast as possible. After all, we are here for the community. We would also like to invite you to join us on live discussions about current and future developments for xMule in the Undernet IRC network, channel #xMule. As always, we hope this release will be faster and much more usable for everyone.

Changes:

* FIXED: Searching now works.

* FIXED: Several compiler errors.

Download Source Code: .RAR, .TAR.BZ2, .TAR.GZ

Download Binary Packages: Fedora Core 1 (Thanks Vaskunito!)

Thank you,

The xMule Team. :-)

Note: Any binary packages for different platforms are welcomed. PM Avi to contribute one.

Also, this message was posted....

I have successfully compiled xMule on MacOS X but we NEED a Mac developer who knows the various big endian conversion functions to join our team IMMEDIATELY. I know they exist. So come on ;+)

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
