A new version of BitTornado is out. Version 0.1.1 includes...

Work on the new single-port core progresses.

New optimizations and efficiencies.

Users of launchmany will be receiving its benefits. launchmanycurses still needs some tweaking, though.

Aside from the new core, there have been several modifications to the engine. You may notice the client starts uploading (and therefore starts downloading better) more quickly after starting a new torrent. There've been several other tweaks and fixes incorporated.

For people waiting on the new multi-torrent GUI client, I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit longer. Patience.

This is a bugfix version, that fixes some bugs from the brief release of 0.1.0, which was released only yesterday (Which Ken did not post. Ken is a failure).

The Shadow, developer of BitTornado, has pointed out that there are bug(s) in this version as well, though those wont be fixed until the next version, meaning we probably wont see a bugfix version tommorow, like we did today, though, i'm not 100% certain.

I'll try to keep updated on this.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
