Recommended Posts

I have been gone for a while! Here is why.....I have been sick lately and ended up going to the ER three weeks ago, and had to have open heart sergery, a double by-pass on the 21st. I am doing much better now and getting around great. I feel much better.

As for Jacob, he is up to 7lbs! He is doing great.

Wow MoodyBlue! I hate to hear you had to get bypass surgery. Glad you are doing well. I have been wondering about Jacob. He sounds like he is doing all the good if he is up to 7lbs.

Did you upgrade to titanium or did you just get a regular old cheap ass fix? I am exempt from having heart surgery. Doc told me my heart is too damn small to see much less operate on. My wife is immune from heart disease too. Her's is so damn cold that no disease can survive.

Get well!! Come see me!! Bring cash!!

Thanks guys!! I am feeling great right now. I do have to wear a life vest that will shock me if I have a irregular heart beat, so far nothing. But I am walking and doing my breathing exercises so that won't happen!

I do have to wear a life vest

Everyone wears a Kevlar life vest around the trailer park. Most people refer to them by the more common street name, "Bulletproof" vest.

But I am walking and doing my breathing exercises

That's good. Remembering to breathe may be more important than the walking part. I'd concentrate on that first. I don't know about you but multitasking is not my strongest trait.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
