Very interesting 7 minutes. Believe is one of my favorite Cher tunes. Now I see how they did it.

They can certainly hide vocal imperfections.

It's obvious that Neil Young doesn't use the software.

I lose all respect for artists that use it. The minute I hear it in a song now I tune out.

Here's my little analogy:

Picture a commercial airline pilot that gains incredible notoriety for his amazing understanding and efficiency at running the plane's autopilot. No matter how well he runs the autopilot there is no actual proof that he can actually fly the plane.

A failure of the autopilot in a "live" situation could result in his entire career crashing down.
