A Miss USA contestant says God was testing her character when she was asked her views on gay marriage, and will stand by her answer - that marriage is between a man and a woman - despite being called a "dumb bitch" by the judge who asked her the question.

perez hilton+loaded question=issue raised in public...she (miss california) came in a very principled second..i was just listening to talkback radio reports on this down here and apparently she`s had truckloads of lucrative offers from religious organisations to host shows, festivals, awards etc...smart gal.. :lol:

On the other hand, why mention her view at all, unless she's trying to be somewhat provocative

Judaism promotes modest dress. The definition of modesty differing in each community.

Google-search a few images of Orthodox Jews. Most of the pics that come up are usually men... but you'll see the emphasis on modesty.

i think that the way she (Carrie Prejean) is posing in those images (for commercial reasons or not) belies and belittles her stance on gay marriage..in other words.. rank hypocracy...my main problem with organised religion...DOUBLE STANDARDS...

Fallout continues over gay stance...

Miss California Carrie Prejean, who became the bombshell of the Miss USA pageant by saying gay couples should not be allowed to marry, said her state sponsors urged her to apologise afterward but she rejected the advice.

Prejean, 21, said officials from the Miss California USA pageant were worried that her comments would cost their contest financial backing and tried to prepare her for a string of post-pageant media interviews by discouraging her from discussing her religious beliefs.

Self-proclaimed gossip queen Perez Hilton has entered into a bitter war of words with a pageant princess over her anti-same sex marriage stance.

The normally scandal-free beauty-bonanza came a cropper when Miss California was asked by contest judge Hilton whether she believed in gay marriage.

Miss California Carrie Prejean, who sparked a gay rights outcry following an outburst at the Miss USA pageant, has defended a series of raunchy snaps that have hit the internet.
