IE8 is fairly quick but forget the comparisons to opera and firefox..i use both browsers regularly and it`s not even close...safari 4 seems to be very much speedier that IE8 too...

I only use IE and firefox. ....and I wonder why I use IE.

It runs slower than sub-freezing snail snot and freezes with a regularity that makes ExLax jealous. The only pop-ups it blocks are the ones I am trying to see such as banking or download links. Fuck Bill Gates and the mule he rode in on.

...but other than that it is ok.

Yobama has too much to do to be following anybody.

Spears is looking better lately. I'd make sure she has had all of her shots before I'd hit it.

...although nobody has died from looking.

safari 4 ..comes in 3rd...
Microsoft did not test other browsers, such as Apple Inc.'s Safari or Opera Software ASA's Opera, said James Pratt, a senior product manager on the IE development team, because it wanted to focus on rivals that "had a good share on the Windows platform."

 Right - they would have gotten their ass kicked!

Yes..We heard you! Better bookmark features were a top request from our users. It's now easier to switch between another browser and Google Chrome with the bookmark import and export features, and we added a new simple way to manage large numbers of bookmarks, too.....better bookmark features..YES!!...finally..

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
