Anger as Facebook changes how it handles your information

Tens of thousands of Facebook users are protesting new policies that they say grant the social-networking site the ability to control their information forever, even after they cancel their accounts.

They've also come under heat in their past due to their politics of some of their investors.

But as an admin at Beatking, I think you lose some history if a poster wants to delete all their posts. On the other hand, i would never go as far as to cheapen a member or visitor by marketing their information to others.

Facebook privacy story a beat-up....

Facebook's chief privacy officer has spoken out defending the company's controversial decision to change its terms of use, saying the entire story was a beat-up and Facebook never intended to use people's personal information outside of the site.

Facebook get rich quick scam busted:

Facebook says it has removed ads for a get rich quick scam that appeared for weeks on the social networking site before it discovered the ruse following reports from defrauded users.

Facebook is trying its hand at democracy.....The fast-growing online hangout, whose more than 175 million worldwide users could form the world's sixth-largest country behind Brazil, says that those users will play a "meaningful role" in deciding the site's policies and voting on changes.
