Onionz: 'Watch My Shadow / Heat It Up'

1. Watch My Shadow

2. Heat It Up

Prestigious producer, party guru and purveyor of bloc-rocking electronic music, Onionz, has hooked-up with UT to prove that he’s still got it, and got it in abundance! ‘Watch My Shadow’ and ‘Heat It Up’ are two heavy-hitters, relentlessly imperative and delightfully detailed. Handle with care, this package contains seriously explosive material.

1. ‘Watch My Shadow’ – A monster party-shaker, funky and jazzy with a dark underbelly and a fierce sting in the tail.

2. ‘Heat It Up’ – A techy vociferous cyclic track that pops and crackles, swooshes and swats as it cranks up the intensity.

New York’s Onionz has notched up over one hundred studio projects during his thirty years in the industry. From house to techno, breaks to disco, Onionz exemplifies diversity. ‘Watch My Shadow / Heat It Up’ follows on from the recent hits, ‘Nothin’ But Love’ (Toolroom), ‘Burning’ (CR2) and ‘Woman of the Sun’ (OM).

Danny Howells: “Sounds good, will try these out!”

Nick Warren: “digging both of em”

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
