Jusin (aka The Aquarium Drunkard) has posted the historic unreleased Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash recording sessions, which were recorded at the CBS studios, Nashville, TN February 17-18, 1969. Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, TN May 1, 1969.

"This is a true peice of Americana — two iconic masters of their craft conversing with one another via song. Recorded throughout 1969 on three separate occasions, these recordings mark an important historical collaboration between two American poets/musicians."

You can download the music over at The Aquarium Drunkard. Enjoy.

I realize the unique nature of the recordings, but TBH I don't see where Dylan contributes much to the traditional Cash songs.

They made Nashville Sklyine together - so the sessions were a warmup for that and getting to know each other

lol

I was trying to be too eloquent. I know the history of the partnership but think Dylan sounds like shit.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
