Jay Leblone: Alma

1. Alma

2. Alma Francois Dubois mix

‘Alma’ epitomises soulful electronic music at its evocative best. Jay Leblone has woven a rich tapestry of sound. Deep, serene and seductive, its charm is hard to shake off. Needless to say, Francois DuBois’ remix is astoundingly sublime, master of the deep that he is. His trademark chords and textured build enrapture as always. Vive le deep!

1. ‘Alma’ – Subtle melodies, tender and rich in feeling, drift and roll to tranquil and refreshing effect. Organ and classic house piano add to the enticing array of aural pleasures. ‘Alma’ is truly wholesome electronic music that warms the heart and feeds the soul.

2. ‘Alma’ (Francois DuBois Mix)– Another superlative remix from Monsieur DuBois as he gently reworks the original leaving his unmistakable mark.

Jay Leblone previously featured on Soma’s ‘Lovin’ (Your Body Remix) with Funk D’Void. Having enthralled the house music scene with ‘Blood’ and ‘I Try’, Francois DuBois continues to lead the deep house revolution.

Reactions:

FunkDVoid: “Jay’s masterpiece!!”

Chris Fortier: “Francios Dubois mix is great””

Scope: “This is a master class in "Deep House", and is a contender for top track in 2008 for me.. Top marks!”

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
