NEW YORK | Lance Jordan’s Dusk Recordings celebrates its 3 year anniversary at house music haven Cielo on Tuesday, August 26th. Presented by Dance.Here.Now. and Global Frequencies, DUSK TIL DAWN features Lance Jordan and Samsara with support from Alex Karlnanian & Tim O’Connell, and a special live performance by Marta C.

NYC mega-promoters Rob Fernandez and Benny Soto's Dance.Here.Now, winner of the "Best Party" award at the 2008 Club World Awards, team up with NY-based event production collective, Global Frequencies, to celebrate the third anniversary of internationally recognized NY label Dusk Recordings and their Dusk Til Dawn series evetns held at Cielo. The night kicks off with an open vodka bar from 9pm-10pm.

Anyone who's been following the dance music scene within the last decade or so has heard the name Lance Jordan, a name which has come to represent quality and dedication to the scene in New York and abroad. Jordan has headlined NYC's best and biggest clubs since the early 2000's though his influences in club culture stem from the early roots of NYC house music. It is his extensive musical background along with his willingness and desire to embrace the new and cutting edge that gives Lance his distinctive style.

Jordan is simultaneously known as both DJ and highly accomplished producer. In 2003 Jordan co-found NY Love Records along with fellow New Yorkers, the highly acclaimed producer/remixer team Creamer & K. After a string of club hits including Billboard No. 1 Dance Club Chart "Love Is A Drug" feat. Rosko, Jordan launched Dusk Recordings in 2005 to further push the NY sound. The label is a solid platform for Jordan's music and emerging artists including Boryka, Rosko, Marta C. with solid remixes from international producers.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
