They say if you can make it in New York and London you CAN make it anywhere. These two cities have the midas touch when it comes to dream catching only the top prize in new music to then filter out to the rest of the planet. Just call NYC and LDN the Ellis Island(s) for universal musical migrations. The August episode of NYC/LDN* explores the globalization of the modern day freedom song by reaching as far deep as the townships of South Africa to introduce the exclusive debut performance of BLK JKS. While continuing to weave the tale of two cities, NYC/LDN marshals a few enchalant tastemakers by the likes of Phil Asher (restless soul), DJ Reborn (Ubiquita NYC), and Patchwork Pirates (Thugs N Hugs) to help set Cargo's brick house on fire. Plus to add a savory new element to the NYC/LDN experience, Dante's Fried Chicken (NYC) will be curating a NYC inspired street food menu in tribute to the August talent line up.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
