Seva K - Shiny Hours EP

1. Fizz

2. Shiny Hours

3. Shiny Hours Dub

4. Sunrise over Saint Petersburg

Summer in electronic form, the ‘Shiny Hours EP’ is deep house in all its glory and splendour. Russian, Seva K, who’s previous form boasts releases on Deepology, has turned in four tracks of magnificent depth and vigour. Techy in all the right places, with plenty of room to breath.

1. Fizz A deep house scorcher that intricately constructs a kaleidoscopic arrangement of sound.

2. Shiny Hours Deep, but with punch. ‘Shiny Hours’ pops and fizz’s along to dancefloor satisfaction.

3. Shiny Hours DubA tune with a simple beauty, this dub is stark, pure and intimately tranquil.

4. Sunrise over Saint PetersburgA more low-key slice of electronica. It’s a little quirky and understated, slightly eerie but loaded with hints of hope.

Seva K’s previous releases include ‘The Jungle Of Music EP’, ‘Zero Gravity’, ‘Indigo EP’ and ‘Feeling Of A Measure EP’ all on Deepology.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
