Progressive Grooves Records is celebrating two years of prime progressive music with the release of a powerful and thorough compilation.

The cream of the crop has been chosen and impressively featured in an outstanding hour long mix by label owner and lead producer Mikas. The work titled 2 Years of Progressive Grooves will also include all of the original singles included in the mix. The project promises to be a well rounded double-disc epitomizing two years of critically acclaimed material for the young, but fruitful label. The artists and team will promise to deliver some of the most distinguished music the progressive genre has to offer.

Recently the label released a spring compilation for Winter Music Conference in Miami with the title “Progressive Grooves Vol. I - Miami 2008. The compilation went on to top the charts in The United Kingdom and Australia, while most notably receiving a Top 10 spot for iTunes E.D.M. Genre.

2 Years of Progressive Grooves will feature artists like 4MAL, Pointech, Saul B, Diogo Ribeiro, and Mikas himself. This abundant offering will feature over 20 Progressive tracks that have recently scorched the floors of the most celebrated clubs throughout North America and Europe. Progressive Grooves, now in their third year have accumulated over 40 acclaimed releases in its catalog with a variety of international talent.

Due to the ambition and success of Progressive Grooves, Mikas and company have expanded the label and founded Talent and Management agency Global Groove Artist

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
