Dirty on Purpose are a four-piece band indie-pop from Brooklyn, NY. Their last album, "Hallelujah Sirens", was nominated for "Best Indie Rock Album" at the 2007 PLUG Independent Music Awards. RcrdLBl recently commissioned the band to make their latest ep, Dead Volocanos, and is kindly providing it for free at their website, as well as a couple of streaming cuts of of their "Like Bees" ep. I'm liking what I'm hearing. You can get it right HERE - the track list is below. I've also provided a couple homemade videos made by fans, which features some of the band's earlier work, in the next post. Enjoy.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
