Tapes 'N Tapes is a Minneapolis, Minnesota based indie band, whose music is a nice blend or rock, country, and jamband with an experimental touch. The band has just gone on tour to promote their new album, "Walk It Up,", which you can listen to in its entirety at their website. According to Spin, the album "The album...is unique in an era of slick 80s chic, mixing the opaque jams of Pavement with the bruised-teen freakiness of The Pixies, while adding cocktail jazz and Tex-Mex folk music like thrift store finds." Works for me.

You can check it out the preview up until noon tomorrow (Thurs, March 6) right HERE. The track list is below. A tip of the hat to IGIF for the find.

And if you like what you hear, you can pre-order at Amazon. The album is due out April 8. Enjoy.

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
