firefox problem

My internet went out. All the usual steps didn't bring it back. My isp's tech support did. Now Firefox doesn't work. Deleting and reinstalling does no good. After the reinstall it works until I close it. Then, nothing. It's the latest version. Internet Explorer, however, works fine. Any ideas?

You might clear your other application's caches, too - sometimes they are the problem. You might also report the problem to Mozilla - the people there are very diligent about looking into problems with their browser and solving them.

get a registry tool to erase all your firefox traces and reinstall after cleanup. Make sure you find them all.

Wild guess here but my 1st guess was for you to go to TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> ADVANCED -> NETWORK -> SETTINGS -> Click on Auto-Detect

but we can't try that theory out anymore... either way, glad you're back to using FF.

Firefox tends to install a billion registry entries and many people have that problem including myself
