In unrelated news, the head prosecutor's kid sister managed to catch the recoding industry's eye with a valiant performance on Sunday. A spokesperson for the RIAA has announced 'Big Ethel' will be heading to the recording booth shortly.

States have their own problems to worry about.

They need not trouble themselves with something as trivial as P2P.

Around the USA there are serious criminals being let out of prison because "there is not enough funding or room to house them". They are letting go the types of people who engage in prostitution, aggrivated assault, do & sell drugs, and commit burglarly/vandalism.

Murderers walk free in the American "legal system" (if you can call it that) and corrupt corporate executives (Worldcom, Enron, ...etc) swindle millions of dollars from innocent people and never get any real punishment for their crimes.

Giant monopolistic entities such as Microsoft and the RIAA continue to buy off politicians and use illegal & unethical tactics to get their way.

These types of people are an actual threat to the people of the world, not us filesharers.

Hell! The fast food, soda, and sugar industries are selling products that is making America and it's children obese, sick, and malnourished.

Some people at the state and federal levels needs to wake up and reorganize their priorities.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
