My girlfriend and I were talking about the old days ...hanging in Winthrop, the Ballbusters and my brother's band The Rice Miller Band.

She then posted this link and let me tell you I got the chills...brought back sooooo many memories... buying pretzels from Cleo's carriage...my God..I had to be 6...walking 10 blocks to St. Stans' school with my sister! LOLL

Anyway...I thought it would bring me down but I'm amazed at what I went through in the ole neighborhood and very happy I'm still alive to share and even more thrilled that a guy like this posted it...

I grew up across the street from the back of this building - the admin bldg at Dickinson College. I'm having problems finding more pics from my hometown, but here is the Police bldg - been inside that, too  Our high school class still gets together regularly...

Im fortunate to still have tons of high school friends - I probably can name 50 or more of the top of my head I still communicate with from time to time and I live 3000 miles away from most of them.

Damn..you are one popular DUDE! LOL ;)

Not really. We were just a free-spirited crowd that managed to have a good time together back then...and now. Alot of my friends still act like teenagers :)

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
