Sky Parade

Here's a band in my own backyard of LA that I didn't discover until this evening. The Sky Parade make psychedelic rock. The band began in 2004 as a recording project for ex-Brian Jones Massacre/singer-guitarist Tommy Dietrick. Things really took off when co-singer and guitarist, and ex-Warlock Matthew Lindgren joined the band. Eventually they were joined by Bobby Bones on Bass, Joel Patterson on Drums, Ysanne Spevack on Electric Violin and Viola, and sidekicks Dan Allaire and Jason Anchondo. I've selected two cuts of their new album 'Love Is Forever'--Losing Control/Love Is Forever--and you can check out the videos HERE and more selections from their cd @MySpace. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
