Lifehacker takes a look the best Blank DVDs. Did you know that 'the best media generally comes from Japan and Singapore' and that 'the worst typically comes from Taiwan or China (in stores) and Hong Kong (online'?

ive been using ridata , tayo uden, samsung , platinum , ricoh, plextor,

and ive got good results with evry brand most i use 16 x disc,s

double layer is to expensive it takes time to sink the price :P

using a pioneer and a phillips burner

I've never had a dvd fail. Any kind. Even if one failed then I would just try another one. They are way to cheap to consider

Not if you are editing a project and want to make sure what you are transferring to DVD works. I'm currently editing a small movie project from some friends, which is why I came across the article on cds and dvds

I know there was a reason i started this thread. I was all set to burn a dvd using Memorex DVD+R discs - neither my mac or Lacie burner would recognize the piece of crap. I plugged Memorex DVDs suck in to google and sure enough, it's flooded with similar comments

Verbatim sounds like the disc of choice...

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
