Johnny Cash - 'Hurt" from NIN

Description: This poignant performance of Nine Inch Nail’s, “Hurt” is almost haunting, as it was recorded just prior to Cash’s untimely death. Whether or not a Johnny Cash fan, this performance is powerful and deep with emotion. Produced by Rick Rubin, The Man Comes Around is the fourth and final Grammy Award-winning album Cash and Rubin have collaborated on.

Aye.

Not his best song by far but it fit the time and his condition to a tee.

[pay no attention to this, it's reserved for yet another spiel about how even music sites paid more attention to John Ritter's death than Johnny fucking Cash's]

They died on the same day and news networks, forums and people in general failed to really note Cash's passing. The emphasis was placed on Ritter's death because he was young.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
