Paul McCartney & Wings-Silly Love Songs

This is truly one of my favorite guilty pleasures. From the "Wings at the speed of sound" album in 1976, it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the UK singles chart. It became not only one of the Wings' best-selling singles, but one of the best-selling singles of the 1970s.

I was on a roadtrip across the country when this song first came out - it played once every hour for the whole trip and my co-driver wanted to continue to hear it!

Despite not having fond memories of the song, it's a sweet enough pop tune, and I've forgiven it for being overplayed :)

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
