Here is one of my all-time favorite classics from the psychedelic 60s. This is the full out 11 minute psychedelic version, which is highlighted by Brian Keenan's amazing percussion work. I used to love playing this during make-out sessions LOL. I got to hear them perform this song live at the Atlantic City Pop Festival, two weeks before Woodstock, on an an unbelievable evening with Santana, Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Jefferson Airplane, and they held their own and more. Enjoy this at Napster

Here's the playbill and various recollections from concert goers. The schedule kept changing--so as you can see by the comments, certain bands weren't mentioned in the first playbill-- Crosby, Stills and Nash are listed as playing, but I dont remember them being there. Iron Butterfly played on Friday night, not on Saturday, and I had a front row seat. ... I don't remember Hendrix playing, which is sort of impossible, but he's listed...the Chambers Bros definitely played on Saturday before CCR.... it was a pretty wild affair... Can you imagine paying 15 bucks for 3 days with these bands today? I was in teen heaven.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
