As much as I hate MTV, this part of TRL with Coheed and Cambria explains what the band is all about, they also play a song ("The Suffering", that bimbo that introduces the song gets the name wrong.) Anyone who is wondering about this band should watch and find out why they are one of my current favorites.

no comment on the music? :guitarplay1:

I had to sit thru 4 minutes to get to some  They're proficient musicians for sure, and the multi-media thing they do looks cool. But I'd have to hear more as I'm not as up on progressive metal as other genres. My guess is that LOTD and Kiwi will like them, or know them better than me

You called me right, Dude. But this enjoyment may be shorter than you believe. I was introduced to them via Stellar/Kay. She was originally on TBH and Zeropaid and is now and then on IRC. Potato knows of her and bmc may be familiar. I think she still has a C&C avatar at ZP. The song that originally struck me was "Everything Evil." I think I will forever enjoy that song. Other than that, I have only heard the newest stuff and enjoy the two singles mentioned in the YouTube. I;d like to get around to hearing a full length album, but as OCD as I am, I'd prefer to start at the beginning of the band's discography, especially now knowing that this is a concept band and that all the albums tell a story. I had no idea what their name had meant until now.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
