Rickie Lee Jones

Evening of My Best Day

"Lyrically, though, the disc is really aggravating: a bunch of simpleminded advertisements for the Democratic Party ("Tell Somebody (Repeal The Patriot Act Now)"), with no depth or subtlety, no narrative and for all the ranting, no real emotion.

Thank God the media stayed on top of things like WMDs and the NSAs eavesdropping from the gitgo, and we have artists like 50 cent celebrating the best America has to offer and writing cool lyrics, too- fancy guns, beautiful women, making money and the American way.
