Download of the Day: Windows Media Player 11 Beta

Windows only: For all you early-adopters out there, Microsoft has made the beta version of Windows Media Player 11 available for download from Windows Media.

The new Windows Media Player is awfully snazzy, featuring a brand new black skin. there`s a few "leaked" versions out there as well which is probably why ms released a beta..i`ve been playing with this for a couple of weeks and i`m quite impressed.....i`ve always liked to burn audio cd`s with media player and this one does a nice job....plenty of grunt in the sound department as well.....all the usual "phone-home" stuff but that`s easily blocked..no, just because billy gates made it doesn`t necessarily mean that it sucks...... :)

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
