Question for Redneck

The Hunter

Recommended Posts

I recently got a red dot sight, that didnt work, and I fixed it, now the problem. It fits standard Weaver bases, and Im looking for an adaptor to make it fit on a small dovetail base. IE for a 22, or pellet gun. Its a really nice sight, and I want to gear it up for the wife to use for target shooting.

Thanks bud, as Im sure they make these adaptors. Weaver bases are pretty much the standard, so Im sure you can make these work. We have rings in the store to install large scopes on 22s, so Im sure there is a way. Jyl has recovered well after her surgery, and is anxious to do all of the target shooting she missed out on. For those that dont know, she was paralized on boxing day, by a broken disk, that was pressing on the nerve root of her spine. We had no Christmass, but after her surgery, she is now able to walk, totally pain free. To see her back to her old self, I would happily crawl through broken glass. Tomorrow she is shooting her target bow for the first time since her injury. I have my fingers crossed for her.

I had the same problem with my back but I wasn't paralized. I was in excrutiating pain and after the surgery I was immediately better. The next day I was walking around a little and feeling much better. I now have a light load limit and my back gives problems but all in all it is much better. I wish her all the best and a total recovery. :)

Now if I could just figger out something to fix my hair.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
