Howard Dean droppped out of the race today, but encouraged his supporters to continue to be active politically and change the plight of ordinary Americans... He will not form a third party and is determined to help the Democratic Party defeat President Bush in November.

I think he really exposed himself as too unstable emotionally to hold a major elected office. His intentions and issues were good and he does have some charisma, but he loses his cool more than you'd want a President to do. I really think he'll fall into a discard folder along with Al Gore.

You can count on this being the dirtiest Presidential campaign ever...both sides will be bringing out every shred of dirty laundry that can be found. If a candidate got slapped on a date in the 11th grade for creeping-hand-up-the-skirt syndrome, it's gonna be hauled onto the airwave and web sites. The conservatives are way ahead of the game with Rush and Drudge doing their thing. By the way, I got a kick out of the fact that Rush has the ACLU trying to help him keep his medical records private. Wonder how long it'll be before he's knifing them in the back on other issues?

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
