that giant fish Jonah hung out in <_>

The ultimate fish story.

My brother was in the Navy for 20 yrs. He told me there were only 2 kinds of stories.

1. Sea Stories

2. No Shitters

I think you aren't referring to number 2 on the list.

Interestingly, whenever they talk about this, it's always Noah's and not Utnapishtim's, or Matsya's, or Ziusudra's, or Xisuthrus's, or Deucalion's, or Bergelmir's, or Viracocha's Ark.

The story that some guy built a boat to survive a gigantic flood is retold in numerous societies around the world, from China to Mesopotamia to South America.

That flood was a pretty crowded place. Only a one 20 chance that's actually Noah's Ark--probably belongs to one of the other guys... ;)

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
