Eminem's ex-wife gets month in jail

Eminem's ex-wife was sentenced to serve at least a month in jail Thursday for using cocaine while on probation.

Circuit Judge Edward Servitto ordered Kimberly Mathers to serve 30 days in the Macomb County Jail and then be transferred to an inpatient substance abuse treatment program for an additional 90 days.

Mathers, who's been the target of some of the rapper's songs, admitted a week ago to her probation agent that she was using cocaine, the Michigan Department of Corrections has said.

She tested positive for the drug after taking a urine test during a Jan. 29 meeting with the probation agent. She missed a scheduled meeting last week but later met with the agent and admitted using cocaine, the corrections department said.

Mathers was sentenced Jan. 21 to two years' probation after pleading guilty to charges of possessing 25 grams or less of cocaine and failing to give adequate space to an emergency vehicle. The charges came from a June traffic stop in St. Clair Shores.

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. - Eminem's ex-wife was back behind bars after Macomb County authorities said she dropped out of a court-ordered drug treatment program.

Kimberly Mathers was released from jail March 1 to attend the program after being convicted of using cocaine while on probation.

Macomb County Circuit Judge Edward Servitto on Feb. 12 ordered her to serve 30 days in the county jail and then transfer to an inpatient substance abuse treatment program for an additional 90 days.

Arrest Warrant Issued for Eminem's Ex

LANSING, Mich. - An arrest warrant was issued for rapper Eminem (news - web sites)'s former wife Wednesday, a day after she failed to return to a court-ordered drug treatment program, officials said.

Kimberly Mathers didn't return to a Macomb County treatment facility on Tuesday, a spokesman for the state Department of Corrections said. After being taken to a doctor's appointment that day, she was supposed to attend a nearby Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meeting and then return to the facility.

Macomb County Circuit Judge Edward Servitto signed the warrant Wednesday afternoon.

Corrections spokesman Russ Marlan said authorities contacted members of Mathers' family, but they didn't know where she was.
