CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive**

**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Nothing on CNN about this yet. Frankly, even if its true, I think people are sick of people making political issues about people's private lives. It wont change my vote...

He's staying. But he better pick up traction and fast. I'm for Edwards...but I will vote the ticket. I love the DrudgeReport, but he's a muckracker. Who knows, this miht backfire...nothing on the general airwaves yet on this matter.

It could get worse...they may find out that Kerry was a lifelong underachiever who rode his father's coattails to success all his life. They also might find that he had an alcohol problem for quite a chunk of his adult life and that he appeared at social events in an inebriated state regularly, making demeaning and insulting remarks to other party attendees. They may even examine his military record and find that his superiors couldn't grade his performance because they never saw him there. They might also find out that he used his father's good name to work his way into low-risk sweetheart deals in the oil business and owning a baseball team, making a fortune in the process while putting up very little money of his own. They might find that his name recognition convinced his political party to use him as a tool to earn a governorship and then seek a higher office. He once again had to put little investment in these endeavors, it was all laid out for him by the party. There were experienced party machine veterans beside him to make all the decisions and create all his thoughts for him. It would be devastating if they found all that out about a politician, right?

This thing could backfire in a big way for the Repuplicans who are doing the detective work. If they knock Kerry out of this race, then they're going to end up facing Edwards...they're going to find out that if he gets the fast track to national visibility, he's going to become as popular as Clinton did on the campaign trail. He's got the platform and the charisma to win this election...his problem to this point has been a lack of advertising money.

Its still early in the game. Whoever lands on top, the democrats at large are looking for a winner - they want Bush out and its gonna happen.

To give a bit of an idea of the extreme slant Matt Drudge has in his news coverage, which is more tabloid in nature than a regular news gathering organization, I just clicked on the Drudge Report web site and was bombarded with a popup for the Conservative Book Club and also an advertisement for the Republican Party (the same one the conservative administration of Zero Paid has in their rotation).

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
