Sending/Posting Large Files

Recommended Posts

I've been a member of Beat King board for a while, and I've

noticed people posting picture and movie files. Most of the hosts use

they use allow only 100 MB, some even accept files only up to 10 MB in size. I think Beat King would get much better videos and pictures if people were able to post HUGE files and databases. Also, most hosts only allow pics and videos. What if you want to post shareware or data files?

I use a new site that lets you upload up to 500MB of ANY type of file WITHOUT ANY QUESTIONS. Check out badongo.com http://www.badongo.com. It's a free hosting server that lets you upload files in whatever format. In addition, you can upload softwares, movies, vids, etc. up to 500 MB. Whatever you wanna upload, they support that format no questions asked.

If you want your files to stay there, make sure to read their terms and conditions. http://www.badongo.com

Anyone know if this board allows posting that uses the i f r a m e tag?

I found a new free video, picture, and files that allows uploads of up to

500MB. You can stream vids directly from your upload via an i f r a m e

tag. The site is http://www.badongo.com Post your stuff up now cuz

there's no identity check or other BS like that.

We will have to ask one of our technical pro's - we dont really have any rules about

what people post (as long as people are respectful to each other)

I have rarely been able to get a file from Badongo. A 70 meg file will crawl along for over an hour then time out. I can get the same file from other services in less than 5 minutes.

I haven't seen anybody use YouSendIt for quite a while. I used to use them but they changed their usage so much that it is useless. You can only have a tiny file size and the person that gets the file pretty much has to register. The sender does to if he wants to send anything of any size at all.

I've been using megaupload for uploads but I have a premium account with Rapidshare. They seem to have the market cornered on most of the blogs I visit. I have had good luck downloading from Gigasize and the ones that Dude named.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
