The Bills beat the Texans 22-7

Not bad for J.P.'s first real action. It won’t be all roses this season though, but he made only one or two mistakes and none of them resulted in a turnover.

Losman engineered scoring drives on each of Buffalo's first five possessions

A lot of the local media were really down on him, mainly due to a personal vendetta against the Bills organization (they're basically blacklisted from press conferences and locker room interviews because they used to make personal insults against members of the organization including about their families, etc. They're also assholes in general. The local media I speak is mainly a few sports writers for a local paper and one radio station).

They were proven wrong in this game, and will now have to eat shit until next week.

Buccaneers 24, Vikings 13

Cully is missing Moss right about now.

He was his "I'll just throw it up in the air and see what happens" guy. Culpepper was never really accurate as a passer. He would go in streaks, but Moss would always be there at one point or another to bail him out and make him look better, and the other receivers would benefit too.

Now we shall see a Mossless Culpepper, and it isn't looking good.

Ravens D got worn out. Ravens secondary is slightly overrated too. Sanders is a shadow of his former self, and his former self was only good at certain things anyway. Ray Lewis is great but he's NOT the best linebacker in the NFL. Ed Reed is great but he needs more help.

They played excellent, but got tired out at the end due to a lack of offense (mainly receivers dropping the ball and INTs by Wright when he came in. Clarence Moore, why, WHY!!!!!!!!!!!! Catch the damn ball!).

Long story short, the Indy defense did what they needed to do and Manning waited out the Bal D, then toasted them to a crispy golden brown because he's just that damn good (outside of Foxboro on a cold snowy day).

The Chargers defense is fragile. Linebackers are bland and undersized. KeyShawn was excellent, Crayton will soon be the number 2 receiver. Jones is going to be a top 5 back this year.

Bledsoe is going to need better protection though down the stretch. He's a statue in the pocket and has a tendency to fumble while being sacked. With protection though, few are better than him.

McCardell is playing like he's a young guy again. Brees was adequate. Tomlinson was good but got stuffed when it mattered.

Freak plays, blunders, and a soft run defense spelled doom for the jets.

Larry Johnson is a good back, as is Holmes, but with an O-Line like that, I'd rush for a couple too.

Pennington had bad luck, it seems. I'll chaulk this one up as a bad day for the Jets offense rather than a sign of things to come. They may need to look to Derrick Blaylock for a fresh running game. I think Martin is beginning to slow down. At the very least, Martin needs to be spelled.

Miami has excellent recievers and a stable QB (for the first time since Dan Marino).

Good defense too.

Heat was a factor. Broncos D is overrated. Plummer was not good enough today.

Oh, by the way, where the fuck was Ashley Lelie?!?! 2 rec for 17 yards is not good enough for someone of his talent.

Tatum Bell was unimpressive. Knowing Denver, they'll go through a couple thousand RBs this season.

I want to see the Vikes do well without Moss around to create bad press and make an ass of himself.

But if we wanted the Vikes to be a team without bad press, we'd have to get rid of more than just Moss.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
