Every Generation

The Greatest Generation won World War II
Spanked the Japanese and defeated Hitler
Made the world safe and walked on the moon
They came home and built this country
Baby Boomers were the "Me Generation"
Played rock n' roll and loved The Beatles
They hated the war in Vietnam
Wore long hair, beads and bell bottoms

Every Generation has its war
Every Generation has its art
Every Generation resents its kids
Every Generation resents its parents

Generation X got tattooed and pierced
Sagging their pants and going Gothic
The felt left out and alienated
Just a small part of the demographic
Millennials were born in the Reagan era
They're gonna bring this country back
They're into business and making money
They'll put American back on track

Every Generation has its war
Every Generation has its art
Every Generation resents its kids
Every Generation resents its parents

On one hand
We're all individuals
On the other
We're all generational

Every Generation has its war
Every Generation has its art
Every Generation resents its kids
Every Generation resents its parents

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
