Near-Life Experience

I hadn't dated in months
I was burned so bad
I couldn't get over
The love she and I had
That's when you showed up
Thought you'd be in my bed
Bring me back to life
Raise me from the dead

A Near-Life Experience
Is what I had with you
Thought we would make it
Think you thought it too
A Near-Life Experience
Heading into the light
Then sudden darkness fell
I faded into the night

We had a few good moments
I really liked your smile
I liked the way you kissed
You said you liked my style
It felt like a rebirth
Thought I'd be revived
Somehow it didn't happen
I failed to come alive

A Near-Life Experience
Is what I had with you
Thought we would make it
Think you thought it too
A Near-Life Experience
Heading into the light
Then sudden darkness fell
I faded into the night

It takes more than you
To bring me around
To make me renew
To help me rebound

A Near-Life Experience
Is what I had with you
Thought we would make it
Think you thought it too
A Near Life Experience
Heading into the light
Then sudden darkness fell
I faded into the night

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
