Unreleased Ryan Adams record leaks

Recently leaked to the Internet and available for download here: Ryan Adams' fabled "Destroyer Sessions." These 13 songs were recorded with Gillian Welch and David Rawlings shortly before the sessions that yielded Adams' brilliant solo debut, "Heartbreaker," and remain officially unreleased. The record isn't as good as "Heartbreaker," -- or, for that matter, as good as many of the live recordings of these same songs that have circulated around file-sharing networks -- but it's still a nice treat. If you only want to grab a couple of tracks, get "Hey Mrs. Lovely" (the vocal harmony on this version is less than ideal, but it's one of the most beautiful songs he's written) and "Born Yesterday".

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
